I Understand How Demanding Professional Life Can Be

Many of the professionals I work with are in fields where precision and performance are expected. Often these are environments where high standards are valued but the emotional toll is rarely acknowledged.

These pressures affect more than just work performance. They can impact confidence, relationships, the ability to switch off, and overall sense of balance. When no one else sees what you’re managing internally, it’s easy to feel like you have to push through alone.

With a background in coaching psychology, HR, and leadership, I help you understand what’s driving the pressure. Together, we develop evidence-informed strategies that support clarity, sustainable performance, and confident decision-making.

Psychologist: Psychologists are registered health practitioners regulated by AHPRA, requiring a minimum of six years of university training. Their practice is grounded in evidence-based methods and psychological science, and they can diagnose and treat mental health conditions.

Psychotherapist: Psychotherapists focus on the subconscious, drawing on techniques to resolve past trauma and improve wellbeing. The term “psychotherapist” is not a protected title in Australia, so training and qualifications can vary.

Counsellor: Counsellors primarily provide ‘talk therapy’ — a confidential space to share thoughts and feelings, usually as a short-term approach for straightforward issues. Like psychotherapists, “counsellor” is not a protected title in Australia.

Coach: In Australia, anyone can call themselves a coach without formal training or qualifications, so skill level and quality varies considerably. Coaching tends to be future-focused and aimed at helping people enhance their performance or achieve specific goals, but typically doesn’t draw on evidence-based psychological frameworks.

Coaching Psychology (what I offer): Coaching psychology combines the scientific rigour and evidence-based methods of psychology with the forward-focused, goal-oriented approach of coaching. As a Registered Psychologist, I bring both formal psychological training and regulation, and the practical, performance-oriented methodology of coaching — giving you structured, evidence-based support focused on sustainable change.

I am currently welcoming new clients. The best way to check appointment availability is to view my calendar directly in the client portal — no account needed to browse available times. If you have a preferred day or time, feel free to mention it during your intake call and I’ll do my best to accommodate.

Two of the biggest questions people have when considering a psychologist are whether I can help with their specific challenges, and whether we’ll actually work well together. I’ve put a lot on this website to help you get a feel for my approach, what I can help with, and what it’s like to work with me. Take your time and look around — by the time we speak, I’d like you to feel like you already know me a little.

The intake call is there to help you answer the fit question. It’s a relaxed 15-minute conversation where you can ask questions, share a little about what you’re looking for, and decide whether this feels right before committing to anything.

I’ll call you at the time you’ve booked for a relaxed, 15 minute conversation. This isn’t a pushy sales call, and there’s no pressure to book a follow up appointment. It’s a chance for you to ask questions, share a little about the type of support you’re after and for us to work out whether this feels like the right fit for you. If I think I can’t help with your specific issue, we’ll talk about what you need and I’ll refer you on to someone I think can.

I don’t currently offer assessments or formal diagnoses as part of my service.
