Hi, my name is Adam Sadd, Director and Principal Psychologist at Uplift Psychology. If you are seeking a Psychologist with Workcover experience, I am here to help. I understand that the Workcover system can be confusing, overwhelming, and lead to increased anxiety. Here’s a summary of my qualifications and experience:

  • AHPRA Registered Psychologist with 5+ years experience
  • 15+ years of combined experience working as a Psychologist, Rehabilitation Consultant, Human Resources Professional and in leadership roles
  • Experience supporting people with psychological illness and injury to recover and return to work both as a Psychologist and manager
  • Background working in workplace and organisational settings
  • Associate member of the Australian Psychological Society
  • Membership with Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated

My Approach

My approach to supporting Workcover clients is based on best-practice research and years of clinical experience working with those who have experienced workplace injuries. I take a collaborative approach, working with you, your treatment team, and Workcover. It is geared at supporting people to recover and return to work in whatever form that may take. I aim to provide you with:

  • Practical tools and techniques to recover and returning to work
  • Increased confidence to return to work
  • Support to plan and prepare for your return to work
  • For physical injuries, education about the psychological factors which impact the experience of pain

My approach to therapy is current and future focused. The approach is aimed at supporting people to find solutions to create a pathway forward in their recovery and return to work. This approach may not be suitable for those who are:

  • Focused on taking action against their employer or seeking financial payout
  • Problem-focused i.e. overly focused on the injury or sense of injustice
  • Lacking motivation to engage with therapy or work on their recovery and return to work in between sessions
